OK, it's generally not wise to drink with co-workers in excess, but the basic one or two drink maximum is always an excellent play. I have recently been reorganized into a new team and we are currently working hard on our team bonding. Every Friday at about pm we're wandering through each other's cubes and sharing a ponder on where should we go drink tonight?
It's team building so we can put it on the corporate card right? For now... yes, but I think we're going to have to start inviting the boss. After all, he has a bigger budget to charge these things to.
And you know what else is smart about drinking with co-workers. Startling your super uptight coworkers into laughing. My favorite recent comment was, "why is it that men are so much better at drawing ----- than women" It's kind of weird when you think about it. Not sure why I was thinking about it. I might have broken the two drink max when I blurted that one out. But it started an excellent and wholly inappropriate conversation, and besides, we weren't at work and there was no boss, so I probably won't get fired, will I?
